Volunteer Trainers Students

Location: Enviu office, Rotterdam, the Netherlands

Expected time to spend: 3 – 6 hours per training
Duration: 1 a 2 trainings within half a year

Brief description
Enviu has an increasing intern and thesis student group (each half year aroun 15 students) whom we offer a full training programme. Our interns and thesis students do not receive any internship allowance and to compensate this we offer them the best learning experience possible.

Each internship period (from Sept. – Jan. and from Feb. – June) we kick off with an internship introduction day where we define their specific learning goals. Followed by several trainings spread over the first 2 months of their internship period.
From past experiences we have drawn up a first programme for which we are still looking for experienced trainers. The exact contents of each training is still to be defined together.

Basic programme:
• Planning and time management (basics)
• Project management (basics)
• Business writing (English and Dutch)
• Presentation skills (Basics)
• Creativity/ brainstorm techniques
• Career planning/preparing for the labour market
• Sustainable entrepreneurship: how to put your own idea into practice/how to realize a sustainable dream
• Open innovation

Possible add-ons:
• Presentation skills Advanced
• Creative writing
• Networking
• Pitch course
• Specific themes within the sustainability field (contents focussed, e.g. Cradle2Cradle, Bottom of the Pyramid strategies, Renewable energy, etc.)
• Writing a thesis: guidelines, examples of best practices, resources and different research methods.
